  Dr. Lucerna brings a unique perspective to modern medicine. He is double American board certified in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. He offers a continuum of care that many doctors cannot. He sees patients acutely in the emergency room and then follows up with them through their hospital course and even as outpatients. He graduated at the top of his class from Rutgers University and did his medical schooling at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he subsequently finished his double residency program. He remains as a teaching attending at the university and practices emergency medicine at Kennedy memorial teaching hospital. Dr. Lucerna has published in several journals and is active in research in teaching. He has won many awards for his clinical and teaching skills, as well as his humanitarian and volunteering commitments. Dr Lucerna is fluent in English and Tagalog.
